Since August 2015, I am an assistant professor of Physics at Utrecht University, Center for Extreme Matter and Emergent Phenomena. Our group Physics of Light in Complex Systems (nanoLINX) is part of the nanophotonics section of the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science. In the nanoLINX group, I am the lead investigator of the nano-EPics team.

Previously, I have held postdoctoral research positions at the Leiden Institute of Physics in the single-molecule optics of Michel Orrit and at Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in the Sandoghdar division. I did my PhD-research at FOM institute AMOLF under supervision of Prof. Ad Lagendijk.
